IBM announced that Charles Kiang has been appointed General Manager of IBM Hong Kong


IBM announced that Charles Kiang has been appointed General Manager of IBM Hong Kong effective March 1. In his new role, Charles will have overall responsibility for the IBM business in Hong Kong and Macau. He succeeds Kitty Wong who will retire from IBM after more than 30 years of service with the company.


After beginning his career in 1990 at IBM, Charles has held multiple senior leadership positions across Greater China, including Greater China Vice President of Technology Sales, Greater China General Manager of Strategic Initiatives, South China General Manager, East and Central China General Manager, Greater China Vice President of General Business, and Greater China Chief Operating Officer & Strategy. Currently, Charles is Vice President, Greater China Transition Leader and he will continue the role to drive IBM Greater China’s 2022 business growth strategy forward after he assumes the Hong Kong General Manager position.

Kitty joined IBM in 1989 and has held multiple sales leadership roles in both mainland China and Hong Kong, including Greater China Financial Services Sector Leader, South China General Manager, China Mid-Market General Business Leader, Infrastructure Technology Services South China Executive, and Hong Kong Public Sector Sales Leader before taking the helm as General Manager, IBM Hong Kong.
