  • The move aims to give graduates a fast track to a digital transformation consulting career and provide improved resources to organizations seeking change

Microsoft Hong Kong has collaborated with consulting organizations EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong and TECTURA to launch the Fasttrack to Business Transformation Consulting Program. The initiative will develop a talent pool with skills in business applications in Hong Kong and paving the way for graduates to embark on a career in business transformation consulting.

Fasttrack to Business Transformation Consulting Program aims to help EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong, and TECTURA to recruit around 25 candidates as Associates in areas of business transformation consulting.

As more businesses step up digital transformation efforts, consultancies are eager to recruit talent with practical business application skills for this fast-growing area of their business. Microsoft Hong Kong, EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong, and TECTURA are passionate about developing the talent pool by encouraging university graduates and alumni to master skills in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

“We are seeing skills-based hiring becoming critical, to meet the labor market demand for more inclusive talent with diverse backgrounds,” said Maria Hui, Director of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Hong Kong. “We are committed to empowering tertiary students and graduates through upskilling with training and certifications. Proficiency in business applications is a major competitive advantage. Together with EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong, and TECTURA, our mission is to nurture the next generation of talent with skills and knowledge in business applications, which we believe will help the business sector adapt and achieve more in digital transformation.”

Fasttrack to Business Transformation Consulting Program aims to help EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong, and TECTURA to recruit around 25 candidates as Associates in areas of business transformation consulting. Under the program, graduates or alumni of all disciplines from 10 local universities and the Vocational Training Council (VTC) who took Microsoft’s virtual training and are certified for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM & ERP) and Power Platform will be referred to the organizations for job interviews. Selected participants can take part in advanced training courses, including Power Platform Solution Architect and Dynamics Functional Consultant Associate, to gain opportunities as functional specialists.

Jarvis Ng, Managing Partner, Consulting, Ernst & Young Advisory Services Limited (EY), Hong Kong & Macau, says: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft Hong Kong to launch the Fasttrack to Business Transformation Consulting Program to nurture digital transformation professionals, connecting talents to opportunities. Being one of the world’s leading professional organizations helping enterprises to undergo business innovation and transformation, we at EY believe that digital transformation is a key enabler that helps unlock human potential and accelerates new and better ways of working. Equipping our new generation professionals with practical business application skills can help provide enterprises in Hong Kong with resources to support, drive and lead successful transformation in the future.”

“Digital agility is critical to every client in today’s dynamic business environment. To stay at the forefront of digitization, PwC China and Hong Kong is investing over $8 billion in 5 strategic initiatives which will create 20,000 new jobs in the next 5 years. Digital talent and upskilling are on top of the list,” said Kenny Hui, Advisory Digital Enterprise System Solutions Lead Partner, PwC Hong Kong.

“Being one of the key Dynamic partners of Microsoft for years in Asia, we observe the strong market demand for digital transformation and the need of industry talents. Talent shortages make recruitment more challenging. We expect the “Fasttrack to Business Transformation Consulting Program” to attract aspiring talents joining the fast-growing industry. We invite participants in the program to join TECTURA and we are committed to providing them professional development opportunities with on-the-job training and real case practices.” said Olivia Kwok, Group HR Director at TECTURA.
