Gartner Announces the 2024 Power of the Profession Supply Chain Award Winners
Gartner, Inc. has announced the winners of its Power of the Profession Supply Chain Awards for 2024. The awards highlight continuous innovation focused on enabling customers, developing talent, and driving sustainability.
“This year’s entries demonstrated growth in technological innovations through the use of AI,” said Maria Nieradka, VP analyst in Gartner’s Supply Chain Practice. “At the same time, the number of submissions related to people-related breakthroughs more than doubled. It’s clear that people ultimately make supply chains work, while in many cases AI is helping them to work even better.”
Gartner presents awards in four categories: customer or patient innovation, process or technology innovation, social impact and people breakthrough. In addition, an overall winner is recognized for supply chain breakthrough of the year. The winning entries are highlighted below.
Supply Chain Breakthrough of the Year: Dell Technologies, for the Language Interactive Support Assistant (LISA). This submission was also recognized as the winner of the People Breakthrough of the Year.
Customer or Patient Breakthrough of the Year: Danone, for Track and Trace for Baby Formula.
Process or Technology Innovation of the Year: JD.com, for Powerful Planning Technology Drives an Innovative Approach to Resilient Planning.
Social Impact of the Year: General Mills, for MealConnect: Fighting Food Waste and Hunger
